HOPPY DAYZ SOFT PLAY
FREELANCE WORKBranding & Print
This was a commissioned project I did for Chloe Rikunenko, owner of Hoppy Dayz Soft Play. I was tasked to create a brand identity, price list and flyer for her soft play hire service.
Some initial ideas for logo imagery I was asked to explore was to include a piece soft play equipment and use pastel colours. Some ideation images also included a rabbit, which later evolved into the mascot character, Hoppy. For the name of the brand, we settled on Hoppy Dayz which fits with the rabbit character and is a play on words with happy. It’s meant to explain how the service can make your child’s day happy and make them hoppy on the play equipment.
Some draft logo ideas was to have the primary image have the rabbit character interacting with a piece of soft play equipment. I ended up settling for a ball pit with Hoppy sitting in the balls. The design of Hoppy evolved from just being an anthropomorphic rabbit to being a representation of a young child. They were given some dungarees as they are gender neutral for both young boys and girls.
The logo started out as circular so it could be used as a social media profile image but was ultimately changed as the type I ended up using didn’t work when rounded. We settled on using the image with logotype beneath and using a modified logo image as the profile photo.
I also created some A4 and A5 flyers that explained what the service offered and what each bundle costs. A digital price list was also made for use on the social media pages.
